The Horus Group was founded by Ronald Jefferson Jr., CFE, following a career spanning private and federal investigations, Big Four consulting, forensic services, and internal audit leadership.

Across those roles, he encountered organizations at very different moments — some attempting to prevent failure, others trying to understand it after it occurred. The work ranged from complex investigations and financial crime matters to evaluating controls, governance structures, and operational risk.

Over time, a consistent pattern emerged: the most consequential problems were rarely isolated. A control failure often pointed to something deeper — unclear accountability, weak oversight, fragmented decision-making, or a gap between how an organization was designed to operate and how it operated in practice.

The Horus Group grew from that observation.

It was created to bring investigative discipline and an assurance perspective to organizations before uncertainty becomes consequence.
